Bio
Our head coach, Graham, lives and breathes football. For the past 5 years he has been spreading his knowledge and passion for the game in which he has acquired from 3 different countries with 3 very different playing styles. Graham has been responsible for training Calgary’s top youth players in every high-performance program in Alberta.
In 2022, Graham was the winner of the Alberta Soccer Award of Merit, recognizing great achievements and those who have brought pride to soccer.

Bio
Martino is a coach who is still very involved in today’s game. He is currently playing for the SAIT Trojans in the CCAA. Before the start of his collegiate career, Martin played with Callies F.C in the Alberta Major League. He was also named as an All-Star in the CSHAA during his time at Aberhart High school before graduating in 2017.
Martino strives to get the most out of himself when playing on the pitch and expects the same out of those he coaches. His own personal goals to improve in the game are contagious and ensure that those around him remain motivated and determined to improve every day.

Bio
Antonio Hernandez shows great passion for the game of football, he is currently a central midfielder for the SAIT Trojans and has competed at the top divisions in Alberta. Before beginning his collegiate career, Antonio was a part of the Cavalry FC U20.
Antonio strives to create a friendly atmosphere but also values hard work and determination. He hopes to establish a stress free environment when working with players but also encourages them to make mistakes and always give 100% in every training session.

Bio
Niko is a player with great technical capacity that has a well developed understanding for the game. He has returned to Calgary from playing in Vancouver with the Vancouver Whitecaps Academy, and has recently signed a development contract with Cavalry FC. Niko also has a high level background in Football freestyle which helps harness his skills on the pitch. Niko has been actively involved in 1up from the start through partner and small group trainings, developmental camps, and junior coaching. Niko encourages players to take risks and try new things on the pitch while maintaining a high standard of play. He brings high tempo and energy to his sessions and encourages players to do the same.

Bio
Jordan is a student of the game. Ever since he was in youth he was fascinated by the way the game is played and how to improve. Starting coaching at 17 with Foothills Soccer Club he has fell in love with players as much as he has the game. The passion he has for improving kids and giving them the best instruction is why he is so involved in the sport.
Jordan strives to hold the highest standards when coaching in order to get the best out of his players while also improving them as human beings.
Jordan also expresses his passion to grow the game inside of Canada being active on social media to help more youth discover the beautiful game and develop a love for football.

Bio
Starting from a young age, Rooney has been drawn to the game of soccer and can’t get enough of it. He brings incredible talent and a young infectious personality to the team. Rooney obtains the skill and understanding to be a forward minded player with an insane work rate all at a high speed of play. He has been playing at Calgary’s premier level showcasing his athleticism and competitiveness for the past 2 years. He enjoys seeing the best in players and is determined to see players strive for more than they think they can. He seeks to help players make clear decisions and make great excursions at high speed of play. Rooney encourages players to always work at “game speed” and improve their effectiveness and train as if they are always trying to prove someone wrong.

Eric brings 25 years of experience being involved in football around the world. He has had extensive international travel through out the world playing and trialing in some high quality clubs. He brings incredible professionalism, self discipline and positive outlook, which he has developed through his vast experience. Eric look to bring out the most in players by practicing on your flaws and mastering your strengths, so that it translates into a confident player during games.

I have been closely associated with football all my life. Going through all stages from student to professional player and after coach, I am completely immersed in the process and understanding of the game. Having started my coaching career, I always try to fully convey all my experience and passion for the game to my students. Thanks to good international experience, I always try to better understand how to use differences in cultures and mentalities for the most effective training process. I always try to convey all the advantages and values of the team sport - Football, in the gaming atmosphere of a sports competition.

Spencer is a very driven and determined individual who we originally had train at 1UP throughout his youth career. While always maintaining a smile and enjoying his time on the pitch, he will boost a players confidence and encourage them in the right way, always.
William Fiore

Bio
Will has a diverse soccer background, having played in both Italy and Canada at competitive levels. He started his journey in Italy’s youth academies, which gave him a strong technical foundation and exposure to a European style of play. Will then moved to Canada, where he represented Team Canada as part of the U17 National Team and competed provincially with Team Alberta U18s and the Regional Performance Centre.
His university career with the University of Calgary Dinos allowed him to develop further, competing at the collegiate level while also balancing academics. Through these experiences, Will has gained a deep understanding of both the physical and mental demands of high-performance soccer. After University he is still currently playing men’s league.
As a coach, Will wants to focus on helping young players grow both technically and mentally, drawing on the lessons he learned from playing in different environments. He values creating a positive, player-focused atmosphere where athletes can develop their skills and love for the game.

Bio
McKenzie has been playing on the pitch since she was 8 years old. She has played at a premier level throughout her entire soccer career. She has won several provincial medals and continues to play the game at a high level. Her love for the game can also be seen through her passion for coaching children, as she blends her knowledge of the game and education degree to improve our younger players in a fun way!
If she isn't on the pitch playing or coaching, you can find her in the classroom teaching her Kindergartens.
