1UP Debut
Designed for players born in 2020/2019. This program is for new soccer players looking for a fun and enjoyable experience learning the basics. Players will start the process of developing technical abilities and good player habits. We can’t wait to see you on the pitch!
1UP Foundation
Designed for a player born in 2018/2017. Find the PASSION for the game! This is where players will refine and further develop their player habits to prepare them for U9 and competitive soccer. Players in U9 have the chance to transition to our Advanced Small Group Training, where many current pro’s were developed. Players will rapidly progress their skills and habits within game realistic training!
Format
Session Duration - 1 Hour
*Each session will be split into 4 parts:
A fun arrival game
An unopposed skills stations with a high amount or repetitions to lock in important techniques!
An opposed skills station with a defender to allow players to try their new skill in a game realistic situation
A fun game Station!
The last week of each month is games day!
Coaching Details
All sessions delivered by senior 1UP Staff Coaches & advanced U17 1UP current players. The program is overseen by 1UP founder and former pro Graham Fisher, and the 1UP director of Player Development Niko Myroniuk who currently plays professionally for Cavalry FC! Graham Fisher a holds the prestigious "Canada Soccer Children's License", the most advanced coaching license for grassroots coaching!

Training Menu & Curriculum
All sessions are carefully designed by head coach & founder Graham Fisher and current pro Niko Myroniuk which consists of all important player habits needed to excel and improve in today's modern game within GAME REALISTIC training activities. Graham blends his 7 years of youth & professional experience in Germany, Ireland, Spain & England, with his 3 National Coaching licenses to bring the players and coaching staff a second to none training environment. See below for both training topics:
WEEK 1) Advanced Dribbling (CUTS & TURNS)
Objective: Players will gain the ability to manipulate, protect and change directions, evade pressure, and become more dangerous, all at game speed!
WEEK 2) Heroes vs Villains (1v1 ATTACKING & DEFENDING)
Objective: Players will gain the ability to successfully dribble past defenders, and at the same time, players will be introduced to the important art of defending!
Weekly Session Emails
Each week, as an introduction to the new training topic, an email will be sent out to all parents and players of this program. The videos sent out will be discussing the weekly topic and providing examples from professional game scenarios in order for players to see the techniques they will be executing in training. This learning process is similar to professional academies in Europe and other parts of the world.
Safety Protocols
The well-being of our players is our number one priority and our staff is committed to strictly upholding all Alberta Soccer and Alberta Health Services Guidelines. All safety protocols will be released prior to training start.
